With over 28 years experience in the IT area, Morel Orta held important positions in Maraven (subsidiary of Petroleos de Venezuela) and INTESA (Computing, Business and Technology, SA). He is currently a Senior Consultant in IT Project LAR group and Assoc. / Synergy, Gartner Consulting.
The engineer Orta is Founding Director of Telesalud International, director Fundación Proyecto Maniapure and is currently the President of the American Telemedicine Association Latin American Chapter (ATALAC). Additionally, he has been active in various organizations such as ITU (International Telecommunications Union), Gartner Group, Share (IBM User's Group), CMG (Computer Measurement Group), AFCOM (Association for Computer Operation Management) and Guide LA (IBM User's Group Latin American Chapter).
